Bon Voyage

A memento to the intertwining and connecting narratives of the beautifully misshapen stories that we make and celebrate in life.
This collection represented the first fruits of harvest from CR’s own re-planting to the ochre soils of Red Hill, in the hinterlands of the Mornington Peninsula.
It includes a special series of works that were painted in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southern France and finished in Australia. Some on the exact same day, separated by one year.
The collection was exhibited at Revolver Lane, Melbourne between December 2019 – January 2020.

Dedicated to the house I’ve called home for 2019, and the five deep seasons I grew in her Garden. The sacred place we marked a Summer and a Winter Solstice together, and acknowledged the Boon Wurrung with ceremony and fire. A space that celebrated friendships, kinship and selfhood. A studio to paint, design, work, create, write and learn. A place I could offer love and respite to those closest to me. And a home for which I could welcome my long awaited pup, Navy.
